What is a three minute wonder? 
A three minute wonder is a series of documentaries which had been created by channel 4,showing short three minute documentaries which consists of various topics and interests created professionally by filmmakers to showcase on channel 4.

What is the purpose of a three minute wonder
it is usually to show a small glimpse of what is being documented but still summing up what the topic is by capturing the points and story that a normal documentary would do but sealing them into a three minute short.

What sort of topic would you expect to see in a three minute wonder?
you would expect to see various types of topics that the filmmakers wish to document for example; 'Just an interest is a documentary about a sketch artist who has created a business creating character models, showing that his interests could be turned into a occupation' or the many Karl pilkington, just makes various documentaries expressing his thoughts about random topics.
